At Central Valley Physical Therapy our mission is simple, to provide the best care to the best communities. We are part of a group of award winning private practice physical therapy clinics and have an accessible location in Kern County. We boast highly educated practitioners. We are preferred providers for most insurance plans and even offer very reasonable self-pay rates.
With the help of our staff and patients, we continue to strive towards our common goal of bettering our community. We are actively involved in our communities through sponsorships and participation in a variety of events and activities.
Our team operates under a unique collaborative model where the motto “All for one and one for all!” rings true. All of the profits generated by our team are invested back into our company and the communities we serve rather than being siphoned off to owners or corporate shareholders. Team members receive annual “profit sharing” contributions in addition to the robust creation of opportunities tailored to team members’ specific goals and aspirations. We work together towards common goals for mutual benefit!
Movement for Life Clinics strive to provide wide-access to a physically active lifestyle through services efficiently delivered by able professionals in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere as part of the communities we serve.
We are very involved in the communities we have the opportunity to serve. We believe that healthcare is local and should be a collaborative effort. We see ourselves as an integral part of each client’s medical team so are committed to communication, team work and support of all members of the medical team.
Being a part of the community is something we are very passionate about. Annually, Team Movement For Life® collaborates with local school districts to fund the cost of providing Athletic Training services in nine local high schools totaling several hundred thousand dollars each year. These programs provide daily on-site medical coverage for student athletes at practices and games including the recent launch of ImPACT, a valuable concussion-testing program. The Athletic Training program allows financially challenged schools to ensure the health and safety of their student-athletes. This is just one way we reach out.
Throughout the year, each of the clinics collect money for local causes and participates in local events such as the MS Walk, the Heart Walk, Go Red for Women, START!, Miracle Miles for Kids, Relay for Life and many more. Led by our team of Athletic Trainers, we support Breast Cancer Awareness by outfitting local high school athletes in pink shirts and gear for Pink October. Our team also finds great pleasure in sponsoring local athletic teams and organizations, and providing community lectures and free backpack screenings for kids in all clinics.
The Movement for Life Team was awarded the 2012 Jane L. Snyder National Private Practice of the Year Award. This award is granted annually by the Private Practice Section (PPS) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). It is given to recognize colleagues who have made outstanding and innovative contributions to the physical therapy profession and in support of private practice physical therapy.
This honor is the result of the cumulative efforts of Movement for Life. We are enormously proud of the people that come together every day to support, promote, and provide physical therapy services to the communities that we have the opportunity to serve. “With all these remarkable people we’ve embodied four key points in our vision – to recruit, retain, and reward the best people; to provide cutting edge service; to expand and grow our people, our company, our services, and our facilities; and to do it all through efficient and effective communication and teamwork,” said Jim Glinn, Jr., founder of Team Movement for Life, as he accepted the award.
“The bar for community service was set very high by Dr. Jane Snyder; and the Movement for Life clinics are active members of their communities. They partner with local high schools to provide athletic training services to their students. They’re involved in community outreach programs and support many charitable organizations through community fundraising events,” said the award presenter.
At Central Valley Physical Therapy, Movement for Life is everything we do. Improving and enhancing the lives of our team and the communities we serve. We believe that we can change more lives together than we can alone. We love what we do. We love helping people. We love providing Movement for Life.
"strongKudos to physical therapistsstrongWith the city coming out of bankruptcy, the San Joaquin Delta polluted by hyacinth, and national news reporting doom and gloom, the last place I expected to find a welcome change of pace was Central Valley Physical Therapy especially considering the assurance that my success there depended on the degree to which I would let them hurt meThroughout 34 sessions of literally pushing me through scar tissue after total knee replacement in May, the entire staff at Central Valley Therapy in Stockton was remarkably competent and caring Not once did I sit in the waiting room more than five minutes Not once did I find my therapist and his many assistants anything but attentive and engaging Not once did I dread going back for moreHopefully, Central Valley Therapy staff goes home with a sense of professional accomplishment, feeling appreciated Their services strengthen weak muscles, provide stability to wobbly legs and lift the spirits of patrons in need Stockton is fortunate to be home to a business so welcoming and worthwhile"~ Ginny
