Our Team

Jared EskewClinic Director - PT, DPT

Jared was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA, and has a love for sports, specifically baseball. He was a professional baseball player for the Florida Marlins for three years. As an athlete who dealt with two surgeries himself, Jared attended physical therapy, where he came to realize that he was suited for a career in this field. He completed his undergraduate work at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in Kinesiology and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University in the spring of 2016. While in PT school, Jared was able to continue his love of baseball and landed an internship with the Cleveland Indians.

He currently assists the Bakersfield Condors in player treatment when the team is on the road and is at the games if players need in-game treatment. Jared is committed to continuing his education and increasing his knowledge, and hopes to become a Sports Certified Specialist in Physical Therapy in the future. In his spare time, he enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife and son going hiking, camping, and enjoying sporting events.

Chris ChavezOperations Manager

Chris was born and raised in Bakersfield and has been with the Central Valley team since December 2015. He attended Fresno State and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health ans Rehabilitation Science (IHRS). His hobbies include outdoor and indoor climbing, hiking, cycling, skateboarding, collecting shoes and spending time with family.

Brendon KimberPT, DPT

Brendon spent much of his childhood in Bakersfield, CA, where he grew up playing competitive soccer. When he was 13 he suffered a major knee injury, which required him to attend physical therapy prior to returning to soccer. It was during this time that Brendon’s love for physical therapy was kindled. Brendon attended the University of California, San Diego, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology while continuing to volunteer at physical therapy clinics. Immediately following graduation from UCSD he began his Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Rosalind Franklin University in the Chicagoland area. When not working Brendon enjoys spending time with his new son and participating in all types of sports and outdoor activities.

Stevie HugheyPT, DPT

Stevie was born in raised locally in Bakersfield, CA. After years of participating in competitive swimming, Stevie chose to attend Boise State University as a member of the women’s swimming and diving team. There she earned a degree in Health Science with a concentration in healthcare management and public health. After a brief career in healthcare management Stevie decided to attend physical therapy school at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She graduated in August of 2018 and is eager to begin serving her local community. In her free time, Stevie enjoys spending time with friends and family and hiking with her dog.

Shiloh WaltonPT, DPT, OCS

Shiloh was raised in the rural Rocky Mountains of Northern New Mexico.  Having a passion for fitness and medicine from a young age, she set her sites on moving to California after high school.  She attended college at Pepperdine University, where she earned a BS in Sports Medicine. She went on to receive a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2012.  Shiloh joined Team Movement for Life in 2012, working for five years at San Luis Sports Therapy, Morro Bay. During that time, she completed an Orthopedic Residency program and, in 2016, became a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist.  She met her husband while working on the central coast and in 2017 she relocated to the Oregon coast for his job as a Surfman trainee in the US Coast Guard. After two years away from her M4L family, Shiloh is excited to rejoin the team and is eager to continue building on her professional skill set.  Shiloh’s treatment is focused on diagnosing and correcting musculoskeletal imbalances that contribute to injury while acknowledging emotional/lifestyle factors as well. She has a strong manual therapy focus and believes in the integration of individualized corrective exercise to optimize function. She strives to educate her patients on ways to manage their condition long term and she enjoys the relationships her job allows her to develop with her clients. In her free time Shiloh enjoys traveling, mountain biking, working out, and perfecting her pie recipes.

Born and raised in the central valley, living mostly in Bakersfield and Fresno, California. As a graduate from Fresno State in Health Sciences, Dominic worked with autistic children and adults prior to entering a career in Physical Therapy. His PTA internships included working with Fresno Physical Therapy, Terrio Physical Therapy & Fitness, and Kern Medical. Cassandra RuizPTA

As a Central Valley native, Cassandra Ruiz has built upon her passion for health and movement science from her experiences as a local personal trainer. During that time, she graduated from Bakersfield College with a degree in Kinesiology. This enabled her to pursue her education and career as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She has since returned to serve the Bakersfield community and is passionate about delivering high-quality care and an excellent experience. In her spare time, Cass enjoys reading, cooking, and exploring scenic beaches along the coast.
